About
Gym Your Mind
GYM YOUR MIND is a space where identity is trained with the same intention, repetition, and curiosity you’d bring to any physical practice.
Most people try to change their lives by thinking differently. But identity doesn’t shift through thought alone — it shifts through the patterns that shape how you move, react, and show up in the world.
Gym Your Mind exists to help you work with those patterns in a grounded, practical, and embodied way.
My Approach
I help people work with the deeper layers of their internal world — the ones that operate automatically and often outside conscious awareness.
I call these subconscious patterns, which include:
-
automatic thoughts
-
habitual emotional responses
-
conditioned physical reactions
These aren’t flaws. They’re learned strategies — intelligent adaptations that may no longer serve who you’re becoming.
My work is about helping you understand these patterns, update them, and build new ones that align with your current identity and goals.
How We Work Together
Our sessions blend conversation, awareness, and embodied experimentation. Together, we:
-
map the pattern (thought + sensation + behavior)
-
understand what it’s been protecting or accomplishing
-
train a new response that feels possible in your mind and your body
This is not therapy or trauma processing. It’s pattern training — experiential, present‑focused, and designed to create real‑world shifts.
What Sessions May Include
-
identifying recurring thought loops
-
naming unconscious beliefs that shape behavior
-
noticing how these beliefs show up physically
-
embodied practices to introduce new options
-
mental reframing grounded in lived experience
When the mind and body learn together, change becomes sustainable.
What This Work Is Not
This work does not:
-
diagnose mental health conditions
-
treat trauma
-
replace psychotherapy
It is designed for high‑functioning adults who want to remove internal blocks and build a more coherent, aligned sense of self.

The Birth of Embodied Identity Shift
Sui Nakashima
Founder / Mindset + Identity coach
Sui Nakashima is a Japanese actor and model with over 20 years of training in the Stanislavski system and Strasberg’s Method Acting, enriched by a physical and imaginative approach inspired by the Michael Chekhov technique. She began her training in Tokyo, where she first experienced Chekhov’s work and discovered how identity is expressed through both inner emotion and physical presence.
Her background in character study taught her to read the subtle patterns that shape human behavior — automatic thoughts, emotional habits, and embodied reactions that operate beneath conscious awareness.
Sui now brings this perceptive skill set into her coaching practice, helping clients recognize and retrain the internal patterns that no longer serve them. Her work integrates emotional access, physical awareness, and intentional action to support meaningful, sustainable change from the inside out.
