My name is Sui Nakashima, I am an actor/ mindset coach ( At Gym Your Mind, we specialize in identifying subconscious blockages and helping to release them. This work is essential for becoming who we truly want to be — our most authentic and happiest selves.

Let me start by catching you up on what I’ve been up to these past few months.
Since last year, I’ve been completely immersed in the creation of my first solo show in English, "The Samurai’s Wife (Japanese title: 『侍の妻』". I wore many hats for this production — producer, production manager, concept writer, and performer. After successfully completing six shows in November last year, I barely had time to exhale before diving into preparations for the United Solo Show Festival, held this March.
The United Solo Show Festival, launched in 2010, is one of the world’s largest festivals dedicated to solo performances, bringing together artists from across the globe. I was honored to perform in their Spring Season 2025 and thrilled to share that my show received the “Best Storytelling Award”!

Over the past year, I’d also been quietly working on a coaching-related book.I'm happy to announce that as of June 13, it’s now officially available on the Amazon Kindle Store ( Amazon Japan, this is Japanese version. I am currently working on English version )
The book is based on the methods of self-inquiry I’ve cultivated over 20 years through acting training — which I first began during my time in Tokyo. It offers tools for identifying subconscious thought patterns and emotional blocks, and how to begin shifting them.
This coming September will mark 18 years since I moved to New York. And what I’ve come to realize more deeply than ever is this: “Your thoughts create your reality.”The power to transform your life — to attract what you want — is already within you.
I’m not at all in the same place I was 18 years ago.The types of people I connect with have shifted, and I've lived in many different places along the way.Through a wide range of experiences — not just as a model and actress, but also now working in the corporate world — I’ve gained a deeper understanding of myself and others beyond cultures.
One thing I can say with full confidence is this: Being your true self is your greatest power.
You’ve probably heard the phrase, “You attract what you are.”I t’s true. Looking back now, the first 10 years of my life in New York were like a roller coaster. I was constantly fighting to get what I thought I wanted.
The stress? At least five times higher than it is now.
My self-worth? Very low. Friends often say, “You never seemed that way!” — but believe me, it was real. Looking back, it’s now crystal clear how disconnected I was from my authentic self.
Through years of inner work, I was finally able to say goodbye to that former version of myself — and that goodbye took shape in my solo show.This book is an extension of that journey, filled with hard-won insights and deep reflections.
If you’re currently struggling, feeling stuck, or standing at a crossroads in life,I hope this book offers a spark of clarity and encouragement.
Life will always bring challenges — but everything starts and ends with you. When your inner world is aligned, your outer world will naturally follow. It’s not about what others think, where you live, or what you have.
Change begins within. Even if your goals feel far away, if you can imagine them, you can create them.But before you can truly manifest, there’s one essential step:You must first release the inner blocks you’ve unconsciously picked up over time. ( or maybe at the same time) .
Just like healthy vegetables can’t grow in poor soil, we need to return our minds to a healthy, receptive state.Your true self is more powerful than you think.
